Well done to all the athletes from Pobalscoil Inbhear Sceine who participated in the Kerry Colleges Track and Field Finals in Castleisland on Tuesday April 28th. 25 pupils travelled on the day with their Athletics teacher Ms Majella Murphy. Some Second Year athletes – Cara Daly, Elinor Dennison, Jamie Harrington, Liam Twomey and Griffin Wharton were unable to compete as they in Cappanlea.

In the Minor Girls 100m, Katie Palmer 2nd, Alyce O’Connor 4th; 800m Rhona Randles 1st, Katie Palmer 4th and Alyce O’Connor 5th; Shot Putt Julie O’Sullivan 4th, Long Jump Katie Palmer 2nd and Julie O’Sullivan 3rd; High Jump Caoimhe Daly and Julie O’Sullivan joint 5th; Relay Teams 1st team Rhona Randles, Alyce O’Connor, Katie Palmer and Emma O’Regan and 3rd team Emma O’Sullivan, Caoimhe Daly, Aoibhe Murphy, Nicole Clifford and sub Julie O’Sullivan.

Minor Boys 300m 3rd Tim Murphy; 100m Gary Randles 5th; 1500m Tommy Cronin 7th; Relay team 4th Boki Nikic, Tommy Cronin,Gary Randles and Tim Murphy.

Junior Girls Christine McCarthy 1st Long Jump, 4th in 100m, and 1st in the Inter Girls High Jump; Aobha O’Shea competed in the Junior Girls 100m and reached the semi-finals.

Junior Boys Iarlaith Hayes 4th in Long Jump. Inter Girls 100m Chloe McCarthy 3rd and 800m 1st Helena O’Sullivan.

Inter Boys Denis Cronin 5th 3000m and Declan Hallissey, Ben O’Shea and Eamon Harrington competed in the Inter Boys Shot Putt. Cormac O’Sullivan unable to compete due to injury but helped out on the day with the High Jump competitions.

Senior Boys Eugene Sweeney 5th in Long Jump and 6th 400m.
